Triads

Everybody needs a support network. A key element to an effective support network is quality relationships. These relationships come from an intentional, focused effort to connect with others. This is where Ethnos Triads come in.

We want for everyone in Ethnos to connect with two other individuals of the same gender to form a Triad. Our hope is that they will provide a strong means for encouragement and accountability for each individual involved.

In Triads, we develop a strong infrastructure for encouragement and growth-stimulating accountability. The approach for this begins with a three-fold approach.

First, and obviously, there needs to be trust, respect, and love built within the Triads. This means that high levels of honesty and openness will be required. This may not be the case at first, but it certainly must be a goal that is strived for. You must communicate with your Triad!

Second, the Triads need to encourage and challenge other triads, and this also can be accomplished through communication. There are certainly things that will only be shared if they can be shared within a closed group that an individual can trust, so we don't expect everything to be shared. At the same time, sharing some of these things is a 'next step' in growth. When we share the triumphs and challenges with the broader group of our community, we invite them into a new opportunity for encouragement and growth. Additionally, there are sometimes going to be things that are beyond the limitations of your triad's ability to speak into.

Third, every individual in the Ethnos community needs to be encouraged and challenged by the elders; it is the elder's responsibility before God. This means that the elders need to know what is going on with the individuals within Ethnos. As you work through challenges and celebrate victories, you can contribute to the direction and success of the broader community through sharing these with our leaders. Our elders can best lead when they know what is going on with the community. How will they know if someone (you) doesn't tell them?

These are very broad strokes of description for what Ethnos Triads are about. We hope that you will take the next step and contact the Elders to give you more information on Triads and get you connected to one.
