Ethnos Has Hope

As followers of Christ, we wholeheartedly believe that we carry in us the greatest hope humanity has ever known.

We of Ethnos strive to live in demonstration of the hope we have in Christ. That doesn't mean we don't acknowledge our hardships or suffering, but it does mean that we encourage each other to focus on Christ, and put our hope in him. Our desire is that we carry this value into the world through mission, so that we are always able to explain the hope that we have in us through Christ.

Among Ethnos, we want to emphasize a relationship with the living God and a life-giving message of hope rather than a checklist of items to believe and behaviors to adopt. We want to be about optimism and avoid pessimism. We help people catch a glimpse of what their lives could be, drawing a picture of who they could be; who God truly made them to be. The key is helping those we live and walk with, toward what God wants for them. We do this in a way that draws people toward God's will out of a sense of love and hope rather than herding them toward it out of guilt or obligation.

Will You Cling to Hope?

What you can do: Will you move toward living your life "to the full" and truly celebrate your life and the hope that Christ brings? Take a trip to the beach. Go camping with your friends or family. Have a barbeque and invite your friends and neighbors. Take a walk or run and exercise on a regular basis. Invite your friends and neighbors over for dinner and let them know the purpose is to simply celebrate life.
