Ethnos Lives By Faith

As a church community that seeks and pursues Jesus, we find that Jesus, as our Lord, is our common identity. Individually and collectively, our lives are found in and given meaning by the person and work of Jesus. This Jesus lived a human life, suffered as we suffer, was executed by crucifixion on our behalf, was buried, and was then resurrected three days later, thus conquering death and giving us new life. This is the Lord whom we worship with everything we have in all areas of our lives, and it is this same Lord whom we wait in anticipation of His return.

It is this "faith" in Jesus that we find value in and hold as part of our identity as followers of Christ in Ethnos Church. This belief drives us, as a community, to trust that He is who He says He is and He will do what He says He will do. We want to be identified as people who live by faith, with lives characterized by complete obedience and trust. Obviously this is a lifelong process and journey, but it is what we are moving toward as a community.

Will You Live by Faith in Jesus?

What you can do: Turn away from defaulting to the easy way out, or the way of comfort. Instead, live knowing that Jesus calls us to live out our faith in the midst of whatever circumstances may come. Trust God as the ultimate provider of all our needs and commit to giving of your resources, time, and energy for the sake of his kingdom and his glory. Be a disciple of Jesus Christ through developing spiritual disciplines built upon a foundation of scripture. Help and encourage the faith of others who may be struggling to make sense of the difficulties in their lives.
