This Week @ Ethnos
April 10th, 2008

Hello friends!

This Sunday Dave will continue discussing Matthew 5:43-48. This week, we finish the first chapter of the Sermon on the Mount. In this passage, Jesus teaches his most revolutionary teaching yet, "love your enemies". Please join us this Sunday as we unfold what this means for us today.

The Studio Team is starting a photo bin that we want any and all photographers to contribute towards so we can use them possibly as part of our Sacred Space. We will receive all only as a jpeg sent to Emiko Hall where they will be stored for the time being as we try to get things rolling.

So people! Start thinking through the rest of the book of Matthew for ideas or inspiration. If you don't know where to start, try looking at some of your older work and submit that. It can be anything from a snapshot to something totally abstract! You never know how it might be used!

Within the right ledger, you will find sources to great books, blogs, articles, and more on the right- hand side of the newsletter. Plus, If you would like to know how to get involved or what ways you can pray for our body, please read on...

  • Our Sunday Gathering Location

Join us on Sundays at 5pm in the little chapel of Beaverton Christian Church: 13600 SW Allen Blvd, Beaverton, OR 97005.

Hermeneutics Study - Starts April 5th

Gatherings will begin on Saturday, April 5th @ 7:00pm and run every other week until July 26th. That gives us 9 gatherings total, but I would hope to try and cut that down to 8.

If you are still interested, you can email me (troy-at-ethnoschurch-dot-org) and I will send you the Study outline and let you know what materials you will want to get a hold of before we begin.

This is going to be a fun class and a great introduction into how to read Scripture with an eye for the spiritual truths contained within that ought to motivate us toward greater love and greater service.
